Three fishermen were rescued off the Cork coast today by the Irish Coastguard and RNLI when their trawler lost power and crashed into rocks.
The vessel could not get away from the rocks as they drifted close to the entrance to Kinsale harbour. Stormy conditions forced the crew to issue a distress call and abandon the trawler.
Newstalk's Jonathan Healy reporting from Cork said:
''All three, believed to have been Portuguese, were brought to Kinsale but were unhurt. Meanwhile, the same storm has lead to widespread flooding across Cork with flash flooding reported in Skibbereen and some city streets under water again tonight at high tide."
