Newstalk’s Sarah McInerney will front ‘The Sunday Show’ every week - reviewing the latest in news and politics with a range of contributors and guests.

‘The Pat Kenny Show’ will return to debate some of the biggest questions facing the country – including the crises in health and housing.

Meanwhile, economist David McWilliams will explore some of the key social and economic facing the island of Ireland in a new four-part series.

Entertainment

Gogglebox Ireland returns for its third series, while the second series of ‘Living With Lucy’ will see Lucy Kennedy sitting down with controversial British commentator Katie Hopkins and a variety of other well-known faces including GAA legend Davy Fitzgerald and Kerry politician Michael Healy-Rae.

The classic British favourite ‘Blind Date’ is also set for an Irish makeover with comedian and Today FM presenter Al Porter set to take the reins.

The channel has also announced a range of new Irish drama, with the all-new six-part series ‘Darklands’ set to join the returning ‘Smalltown’ and ‘Red Rock.’

In sport, the broadcaster has added Ireland rugby legend Ronan O’Gara to its Six Nations panel – with exclusive Irish rights to the coverage for the next four years.

Tuesday nights will mean Champions League and Graeme Souness leading TV3’s team of experts alongside Off The Ball host Kevin Kilbane, Neil Lennon and Brian Kerr.

A new tone

Following the launch, the broadcaster’s director of programming Bill Malone said the new season will set a “new tone and a new level for TV3.”

“We are raising the bar higher than ever before with our most ambitious plans yet, with very significant announcements across every genre: Sport, News and Current Affairs, Drama, Factual and Entertainment,” he said.

“We have game-changing announcements across the board and across the schedule, from Six Nations and the new 3News Hub to The Tonight Show, Blind Date and Ireland’s Got Talent - and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

“This New Season Launch is defined by Irish stories and Irish programming and is the result of great investment in studios, in content, in talent and in people.”
