Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has taken a somewhat drastic step in showcasing her support for American presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Palin posted a bizarre photo of herself and a shot gun over a dead boar onto her Facebook account, in a symbolic effort to secure the Wisconsin vote for Donald Trump.
She attached a lengthy message for Wisconsin citizens, emphasising the importance of voting for Trump in order to 'reject the status quo.' She also made some caustic assertions about Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton in which Palin cautions:
''The continued games of the permanent political class will assure a Hillary victory unless you tell them "ENOUGH!" and vote for bold, new leadership that puts your interests before party politics.''

On Wisconsin! Faith of America is in you to take us forward on Tuesday; to remain strong and independent of the status...

But her defiant social media exploits in the name of Trump have attracted a lot of criticism in the Facebook thread and beyond with the focus of the backlash mainly centred on the violation of animal rights.
@SkyNews shame it's not a picture of a boar standing over a dead Sarah Palin.
