A number of Irish films and filmmakers have received Oscar nominations.
This year's Academy Award nominees were revealed this afternoon, with Irish co-production The Favourite receiving a total of 10 nominations.
It leads the pack alongside Alfonso Cuaron's Roma, which has also received nominations across 10 categories.

Irish cinematographer Robbie Ryan has received a nomination for his work on the film.
Reacting to the news, Robbie said: "I can't complain! I'm delighted for the film - the film is really brilliant.
"I've done loads of films where not many people have seen them, so it's really lovely to have a film where a lot of people have seen it and love it, and it's getting the recognition it probably deserves."

The film's received nominations across many other major categories - including best director (Yorgos Lanthimos), best actress (Olivia Colman) and two separate best supporting actress nods (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz).
In the animated short category, the Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon's Late Afternoon - directed by Luise Bagnall - is one of the five films to get the nod.
Irish filmmaker Vincent Lambe's Detainment - which is based on the James Bulger case - has made the live action short nomination list.
In a tweet celebrating today's announcements, Element Pictures said it's "safe to say we are a little pleased" with their nominations for The Favourite.
