A married couple in their 20s have been living in their tiny car for more than three weeks in west Dublin after their rent went up 50%.
Ciara and Shane Dwyer could no longer afford the house, and say they cannot find another home they can afford in the Jobstown area of Tallaght.
They are both unemployed, and qualify for a rent allowance of €540 a month.
But Ciara says neither the local council nor the homeless unit have anywhere to put them.
So they are now living in their 2001 Nissan Micra.
Ciara suffers from agoraphobia, meaning she cannot be around large crowds of people. She spoke to Newstalk Lunchtime earlier.
