Customers at several locations around the country have reported problems
Vodafone Ireland says service is being restored following a 'technical fault' that caused disruption for customers.
The phone network appeared to have suffered a major outage, with customers around the country reporting problems.
Vodafone said the fault was causing 'intermittent' voice and data issues for some customers.
In a statement this evening, the company said: "The root cause has been identified, a fix has been put in place and service is being restored.
"Customers’ full service should resume over the next few hours. Vodafone apologises for any inconvenience caused," it adds.
