Post mortem examinations will take place today on the bodies of two men recovered in Galway over the weekend.

Gardaí say the body of 21-year-old Private Ben Garrett was taken from the water yesterday morning at Galway Docks.

Private Garrett was last seen leaving a nightclub in Galway city in the early hours of March 31st.

A major search has been taking place involving the Defence Forces and members of the public.

Separately, another man's body was discovered in Galway Bay on Saturday morning during the search for missing Roscommon man Anthony Henehan.

Both bodies will be examined at University Hospital Galway later.
