Thousands of people have turned out in Dublin city centre to protest against water charges.

Three separate groups assembled at Merrion Square and Heuston and Connolly stations this afternoon, before converging on O'Connell Street for a rally.

The Right2Water campaign have also announced the wording of a proposed change to the constitution, which would ensure Irish water remains in public ownership.
