Leading figures Axl Rose and Slash have reportedly decided to bury the hatchet and could bring the band back together for a huge world tour.

After a long-running feud, it looks as though Slash and Axl Rose have put the past behind them and are finally talking again. This cessation of hostilities after such a long time has brought about a lot of rumours regarding a possible return to action for the band, and while there has been no official confirmation, the whispers seem to be gaining some momentum.

John Murdy, a friend of Slash and boss of Universal Studios theme park, stated that "Slash and Axl talking again is a really good sign" for the possibility of a reunion, while keyboard player Dizzy Reed said that for the band "timelines don’t really apply [but] things will come out when they're ready and we'll go on tour".

According to a report in The Mirror, promoters have estimated that the band could make up to £65 million from a world tour with the original members of the band returning, while that figure would also be boosted by reissues of CDs and merchandise.

Other members of the band including guitarist Izzy Stradlin,(53) bassist Duff McKagen (51) and drummer Steven Adler (50) have all been pursuing their own projects, but would be open to a return to the stage with the iconic band.

Duff and Izzy have been the regularly changing lineup of the band since they split in 1993, the only permanent fixture of which has been Rose himself, but fans are desperate to see him and Slash come back together.

Alex Villa, a marketing expert based in Los Angeles, stated that "Guns N' Roses were a powerhouse in rock in the '90s and a reunion will be a huge deal. The band only need to do a year on the road and would never have to worry about money again in their lives."
