Talks are underway between Luas management and workers after drivers called off the 48-hour strike planned for this weekend.
Transdev management are meeting ticket inspectors and control room staff today.
Acting Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe says he has received a letter from SIPTU, requesting an urgent meeting in relation to the ongoing dispute.
A date for talks between Transdev and Luas drivers has yet to be set.
Last week, Transdev placed all staff on protective notice in a letter circulated to workers.
It said in the letter that it may make deductions from the pay of drivers and supervisors.
SIPTU said the move could mean staff working with the tram company can be laid off at a day's notice.
