Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson is to hold talks with his Welsh counterpart Carwyn Jones later about the implications of today's 'No' vote.
This morning, Mr Robinson tweeted: "Delighted Scotland has voted to remain in the Union. We are better together."
The news comes as David Cameron announced that the UK must do everything to preserve the Union: "Just as Scotland will vote separately in the Scottish parliament on their issues of tax, spending and welfare, so too England, as well as Wales and Northern Ireland, should be able to vote on these issues and all this must take place in tandem with and at the same pace as the settlement for Scotland."
