A 56 year old Italian man arrested over an Ebola hoax on a plane at Dublin Airport yesterday is due to appear in court this morning.

He was arrested along with 2 women after the incident on a flight from Milan to Dublin.

An ebola stand-off between a US nurse and the state of Maine continues - as she refuses to comply with orders that she remain quarantined in her house for 21 days.

Kaci Hickox volunteered in Sierra Leone and has tested negative for the deadly disease, and yesterday left her home for a bike ride.

She says she has no intention of remaining in isolation because she's showing no symptoms.

Russia has agreed to resume gas supplies to Ukraine over the winter in a deal brokered by the European Union.

The deal will also ensure gas supplies to EU countries via Ukraine are secure.
