A schoolgirl from Nenagh, Co Tipperary is to represent Ireland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.
Molly Sterling (16) co-wrote her winning song, 'Playing with Numbers', with Greg French.
She was announced the winner when she topped the scoreboard on Eurosong last night - which comprises a combination of public and jury vote.
The panel comprised of entertainer Panti Bliss, Eurovision fan and TV presenter Mairead Farrell, Phil Coulter and Eurovision winner Linda Martin.
Molly is currently in 4th year in St Andrew's in Booterstown, Dublin.
She and French co-wrote 'Playing with Numbers' as part of her upcoming album.
She says the song is about the risks people take every day in love and in life, and the experiences of taking the road less travelled.
The song scored 104 points - just ahead of 'Anybody Got A Shoulder?', sung by Kat Mahon, which came in second on 100 points.
On her win, Sterling said: "I can't believe that it happened, it's amazing. I just want to make everyone proud and Greg has worked so hard on this."
She will represent Ireland in the second semi-final of the song contest on Thursday May 21st.
