A KLM flight carrying hundreds of passengers was forced to make a precautionary landing at Shannon Airport this morning.
The plane was en route to Amsterdam from South America when the alert was declared.
Flight KL765 landed safely in Shannon at 9:37am with 298 people on board.

In a statement, the carrier says "Passengers and crew were not in danger."
Passengers later travelled on to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on-board another KLM plane.
Aircraft technicians are investigating the incident.
