A study carried out across 25 countries shows that 90 percent of Irish people won't go on holiday without their mobile.
But when it comes to bad mobile habits, we are least tolerant of others making calls on speakerphone.
Playing music or videos without headphones, taking videos of strangers and making calls in a restaurant also top the list of bad habits we find offensive.
The study also revealed the deep dependence Irish people have on their mobile devices (defined as a smartphone, tablet, e-reader, laptop or smartwatch) when travelling. 90% of Irish people bring at least one mobile device with them when they take personal holidays, and 98% bring at least one device on business trips.
On the whole, 77% of Irish say that their smartphones are “very important/critical” to their daily lives when travelling. 68% say the same about their tablet device and 66% say the same about their laptop.
30% of Irish people would feel anxious if they lost their mobile device while travelling, according to the survey by Expedia and Egencia.
