Coastguard units in Co. Waterford hope to bring ashore the remains of the fishing punt the 'Dean Leanne' this morning. Three brothers lost thier lives in the fishing tragedy yesterday.

Locals in the south-east are in shock and disbelief after the tragic drowning of the Bolger brothers after their fishing boat capsized.

An investigation is being launched after Paul, Shane and Kenny Bolger died when their 18-foot timber vessel got into difficulty in heavy swells and partially sank off Tramore.

A member of the Dunmore East lifeboat received a call from a family member of the missing men yesterday evening to say he was worried when they had not returned.

The lifeboat was immediately launched. Two of the men were recovered from the water at Brownstone Head, while the third was airlifted out by a rescue helicopter.
