The US National Climate Assessment reckons that sea levels will rise by up to 1.2m by the end of the century. But what if they're wrong?

One Irishman posted a grim vision of the future to Reddit, where sea levels have risen by an astounding 70m, turning the country into an archipelago.

The Union of Irish Townships will be devoid of all current cities bar Cork, and will have it's capital in the amalgamated metropolis of Braystones.

PRigby explains his theory for Dublin's replacement:

"The idea was that is where dublins wealth would go and the two cities would grow into each other (like Budapest) but I think people would accept Braystones more than New Dublin. Tallaght would have more of a right to be called new Dublin, what with being in Dublin."
