Legendary Irish actor Frank kelly passed away on Sunday, aged 77, and tributes have poured in from those who worked with him, as well as those who were touched by his work. 

Kelly's career spanned six decades on radio, television and stage, and he became well-known during his time on the satirical television show Hall's Pictorial Weekly

Kelly became a household name for a whole new generation thanks to his role as the foul-mouthed, hard-drinking priest Father Jack Hackett in Father Ted, alongside Dermot Morgan. 

Kelly's death falls on the 18th anniversary of Morgan's passing, marking a sad day for fans of the show all over the world, who have been sharing their thoughts and condolences in the wake of the news. 

The tributes were lead by Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews, the creators of Father Ted, who thanked Kelly for all his work over the years.
