Talks to try and form a minority government are continuing today.

The two big parties of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are resuming negotiations, after both Enda Kenny and Michael Martin failed to get enough votes for Taoiseach.

While 14 Independents have said they will not go back to talks until a deal is secured between the two main parties.

Speaking earlier on Newstalk Breakfast, acting Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe said Irish Water will be part of the next government.

This is something Fianna Fáil have said is a red line issue.

Dublin Bay South TD Jim O'Callaghan says water is now "a major issue of difference between the two parties".

But what could the next Cabinet look like?

Newstalk Breakfast presenter - and former Fine Gael minister - Ivan Yates has given us what he thinks is likely to happen.

He says Enda Kenny will be elected Taoiseach by Wednesday April 27th, with as many as more than 70 votes.

Michael Healy-Rae, Shane Ross and Katherine Zappone will all be given Cabinet posts.

Ivan says Mr Healy-Rae could get the Rural Affairs portfolio, with Ross getting an economic ministry and education going to Ms Zappone.

There will also be possibly four senior and junior ministers drawn from the Independent benches.

But he says Fianna Fáil may pull the plug around the end of 2017.
