Gardai have seized heroin worth €840,000 in Dublin.

The drugs were seized during searches on Thursday in the Limekiln Lane area of Walkinstown area.

The operation followed a tip-off from a member of the public regarding suspicious activity in the area.

There were no arrests and investigations are ongoing.
