An internal Garda investigation is underway into allegations that a female officer was injured during a male strip show.
The Sunday Times claims the stripper agreed to perform in a County Meath Garda Station to avoid penalty points for driving an untaxed car.
However, the female officer hurt her back as the stripper danced to the song 'Pony' by the hip-hop artist Ginuwine.
The performer is believed to be a member of the 'G-Sting Kings' group.
The incident described as 'an inappropriate joke', was brought to the attention of management in the Louth/Meath division by other officers.
The stripper in question told the Irish Mirror that he was asked to return to the station to perform for one of the female gardai whose birthday was a few days earlier.
