Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for help in identifying a man whose body was discovered in the town last week.

Shortly after 9pm on Tuesday 25th July, a man was found in an unresponsive state at Cox’s Lane. He was declared dead at the scene.

He is believed to have been in his late 20s or early 30s, and is described as being around 5'9"-5'10".

Gardaí think he may have been from Poland or another part of Eastern Europe.

He had short, black, neatly cut hair, and is of dark complexion.

The man was wearing a red, white and black t-shirt with the wording ‘MCKENZIE’ printed across the chest. He was also wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

He was in possession of a dark ‘PUMA’ hooded top, as well as a keychain with a number of keys.

Anyone who can help identify the man is being asked to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059-913-6620, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
