The funeral of the former Bishop of Derry Dr Edward Daly has taken place in Derry.
Dr Daly was featured in an iconic photo from the Bogside in 1972, as he ran to help victims of the Bloody Sunday shootings waving a blood stained handkerchief.
Bishop Daly passed away on Monday at the age of 82, following a battle with cancer.
He is being laid to rest in the grounds of his former Cathedral of St Eugene's.
A tribute from Pope Francis was read out at the service this afternoon.
President Michael D Higgins joined the hundreds of mourners who congregated for the service.

In his homily, Bishop Donal McKeown said Dr Daly's legacy would be one that garners respect.
