The Funeral of Sister Claire Crockett, a nun who died in last month's earthquake in Ecuador, took place in Derry this afternoon.
Hundreds of people packed into St Columba's Church in the Brandywell area of Derry for the Requiem Mass.
Sr Crockett was raised in Derry before leaving to join the Home of the Mother Order. She was based at a school in Playa Prieta in Ecuador and had been working in the South American country for a number of years.
The order said her body, along with those of two girls also associated with the group, was found in the rubble of the building following the 7.8 magnitude tremor which left over 650 people dead and thousands of others injured.
Sr Crockett has been described as a dynamic young woman, who people were naturally drawn to.
