Met Eireann has issued a number of severe weather warnings - including it's highest alert 'Red' - for parts of the country.
'Storm Desmond' is expected to bring more than 70 millimetres of rain to parts of Connacht, Donegal, Clare and Kerry overnight and into tomorrow.
Heavy rain is also expected in Cavan, Clare, Cork and Limerick, with strong winds in parts too.
AA Roadwatch is advising there are delays and cancellations affecting flights heading into and out of Dublin Airport, Cork Airport, Shannon Airport and Farranfore Airport.

Passengers are being advised to check with their airlines.
The ESB has provided contact information for anyone who suffers a power outage during the storm. There have already been several outages across the country.

Thousands of people are without power and flights have been cancelled as Storm Desmond makes landfall.
The power outages are mainly along the west coast where a Status Red rainfall warning is in effect.
In total almost 5000 properties are without electricity supply in Kinsale and Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Co. Mayo and North Dublin.
Met Eireann issued the alert for areas of Connacht as well as counties Donegal, Clare, and Kerry with accumulations of up to 70 millimetres expected.
Flights heading in and out of Dublin Airport, Cork Airport, Shannon Airport and Farranfore Airport are delayed or cancelled.
Meanwhile, the Road Safety Authority is urging motorists to avoid any unnecessary journeys, and to take their time if they have to drive.
