The Syrian man tripped up by a Hungarian camerawoman as he ran from an accommodation camp carrying his child has been identified on social media.

He has been named as Osama al-Abdelmohsen, a soccer coach from Deir Ezzor in Syria who had managed to travel as far as Roszke in Hungary with his family when he was filmed trying to evade police.

A picture of Osama and the son he was carrying when he fell has gone viral today, putting a face to yet another sad story from the migration crisis that is fixating Europe.

Other camera men and women shared their film of the camera woman's actions, in an attempt to shame her.

Yesterday, bosses at the station she worked for confirmed her contract had been terminated.
