Eight people have been found in a shipping container at Rosslare Port.

They were discovered this afternoon.

The three adults and five children are receiving medical treatment. 

Gardaí say the operation is ongoing this evening.

Earlier this year, authorities discovered 14 people hiding in the back of a refrigerated truck at the Wexford port.
