Dublin's Lord Mayor is visiting Moore Street this afternoon amid fears that work being carried out on the historic site has damaged buildings there.
Críona Ní Dhálaigh and a conservation architect will visit the National Monument which is undergoing work ahead of the 1916 centenary commemorations.
It comes as a group of protestors began occupying the site last week.
Politicians including Gerry Adams, Mary Lou McDonald and Richard Boyd Barrett are among those who have attended the ongoing Moore Street protest to pledge their support.
Earlier this year families of the leaders of the 1916 Rising backed plans to create a new “historical quarter” in the Dublin city centre area.
