A number of people are currently being prosecuted for illegally using drones.
The chair of the Unmanned Aircraft Association of Ireland, Julie Garland, says the sky is the limit in terms of what drones can be used for.
The IAA director of safety regulation, Ralph James, has this advice for drone users.
