The Courts Service says security systems were put in place
A Judge has been released from hospital after an alleged assault in one of Dublin’s family law courts sittings this afternoon.
Judge Miriam Walsh is alleged to have been hit a number of times before Gardaí stepped in and brought the situation under control.
A man was arrested at the scene and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station for questioning.
A spokesperson for the Courts Service has confirmed that a violent incident took place at the venue and says its “security systems were in place and operational at the time” and this allowed Gardai to intervene.
