A baby girl has been born on Dublin's M50 motorway this morning with the assistance of paramedics from the Dublin Fire Brigade.
The emergency crew from Kilbarrack Fire station were called out shortly before 3.30am today and the baby was born at 3.45am at junction 4 southbound.
Daniel Fynes, Donal Peterbridge and Finbarr Lambert of the Dublin Fire Brigade assisted with the delivery. Mr Peterbridge spoke about the experience:
Both mother and baby are doing well and have been transferred to the Coombe Hospital.
