The following flights for May 26th have been cancelled:

Aer Lingus says those who have bookings on the cancelled flights can change for free to another date of travel, or request a full refund.

While passengers who have bookings to travel tomorrow are asked to check the status of their flight before departing for the airport.

Aer Lingus chief executive, Stephen Kavanagh, said: "Aer Lingus regrets that it has been forced to cancel a number of services tomorrow as a result of strike action by French Air Traffic Controllers".

"This is the latest in a long line of similar industrial action which continues to disrupt passengers and airlines across Europe".

"We once again call for intervention by European and French authorities to prevent such harm," he added.

Ryanair says it has also been forced to cancel over 70 flights on Thursday to, from and over France - with further delays likely.

It is advising customers travelling on Thursday to check the status of their flight before travelling to the airport.

The country is already in the midst of a petrol shortage due to a strike by oil refinery workers.

There is also concern this strike may interfere with the travel plans of Euro 2016 fans.
