It's the last bank holiday weekend of the summer and the weather isn't looking too bad either.
Met Éireann has said Saturday and Sunday will be dry in most places with some scattered showers.
It will be relatively cool for August, however, with temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, but it should feel pleasant in the sunshine (which there will be a fair amount of).
With that in mind, we've compiled seven of the best events going on across the country this weekend:
1. The Beatyard Festival
Dún Laoghaire harbour is home to the Beatyard Festival this weekend.
The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday and combines three areas of music, food, drinks and games.

It will feature the best chefs, musicians and creatives, with music provided by Boney M, Snarky Puppy, George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic and Jape among other acts.
The Just Eatyard will also provide the best in food and drink, bringing together Dublin’s finest artisan producers and local favourites.

2. Spraoi Festival
Spraoi takes place every year in Waterford city over the August bank holiday weekend.

Over 200 free events are planned for this year with performers coming from Australia, Belgium, Britain, America, France, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Ireland and the Netherlands.
Circus, comedy, aerial and spectacle acts will fill the streets of the city every afternoon and evening. There’s also a full music programme and the SprOg Children’s Festival.
The festival climaxes on Sunday night with the Spraoi Parade, which will snake through the centre of Waterford city.

3. Lisdoonvarna Folk Fest
It's been over 20 years since Lisdoonvarna hosted a major musical event but this weekend will change all that as the Lisdoonvarna Folk Fest is being relaunched.
The event kicks off in the Burren Store House on Saturday night at 6pm, starting with music from The Reel Time Rockers, the Doolin Ceili Band, John Talty and John Blake.
On Sunday evening, music will get underway again at 6pm with Out the Gap, Ceol na Mara, and The Same Evans band. The closing act of the festival will be a dynamic performance by local traditional band The Fiddle Case.
Tickets for the event are €10 per night and are available from the Burren Store House in Lisdoonvarna.
4. Hook Strongman 2016
Hook Lighthouse in county Wexford is set to host an August bank holiday festival with a difference this year, as some of Ireland’s leading ‘Strongman’ competitors descend on the 800-year-old tower.

Over 15 competitors from all around the country will be battling it out on Sunday July 31st for the title of ‘Hook Strongman 2016’.
Entrants include the Republic's previous strongest man, Italy’s strongest man and world-class power lifters.
Alongside the serious display of strength, Hook Lighthouse is planning lots of seaside and piratey fun with events for all the family.

5. Gorey Market House Festival
Gorey is home to the Market House Festival this weekend. The festival brings the best of music and street theatre to Wexford, and most events are free.
On Saturday, Gorey Town Park will be the location of a family fun day including street theatre, magicians, stilt walkers, soccer, tag rugby, arts and crafts, face painting, and live music.
Sunday brings a craft, vintage and artisan food market to Gorey Main Street and will include live animals, vintage steam engines and great displays of local craft and food.
Visitors can also enjoy art exhibitions at various locations throughout the town.

6. Mary from Dungloe International Festival
The 10-day-long festival in county Donegal is now in its 49th year and centres on the selection of the 'Mary from Dungloe'.
There will also be lots of free cultural, sports and entertainment events for children and adults over the coming days, and the Marys will be doing a variety of appearances throughout the week.
The official of crowning of the 'Mary of Dungloe' will be on Sunday July 31st at 7.30pm, and it will be televised on Irish TV.

7. Carlow Garden Festival
The Carlow Garden Festival is coming to the end of its 10-day run, but there are still some events on this weekend.
On Friday, Clare gardener Carl Wright is hosting a master class in gardening in Tullow.
On Saturday, a world famous author and tree-expert, Thomas Pakenham, will bring people on a tour of the extensive tree collection in Newtownbarry House in Enniscorthy from 12 noon. He will then put on a similar tour at Huntington Castle and Gardens at 3pm.
On Sunday, there will be a series of talks at Burtown House and Gardens in Athy, Co. Kildare, and at Rathwood in Co. Carlow.
