More than 2,500 homes around the country are without power tonight as Storm Imogen crosses the country.

The worst hit area is Timoleague in West Cork where 1,400 households have no electricity.

Over 650 families are without power in Miltown Malbay in County Clare.

Advertisement

Parts of Kerry, Galway, Longford, Donegal, Dublin and Wicklow have also been hit with power cuts.

A status Orange win warning is in place for Counties Cork and Kerry until midday tomorrow.

Met Eireann has also declared a Status Yellow advisory for the country as a whole due to Storm Imogen.
