The dogs did not have the relevant papers
Fifteen young pups have been seized at Dublin Port.
The discovery was made at a garda checkpoint by members from the Commercial Vehicle Unit yesterday.
A van at the port was stopped and searched.
The puppies were found on board the vehicle, which was about to board a ship to England.
An Garda Síochána say the dogs did not have the relevant papers to travel.
They have now been given to the DSPCA.
