Pat Lam's side are back on form following an emphatic win over Edinburgh this evening in the Guinness PRO12.

The reigning champions crossed the whitewash on four occasions on their way to securing a 13 point victory in front of a home crowd and banish the hurt of defeats in the opening games of the new season.

Niyi Adeolokun was the first Connacht player to break through the Edinburgh cover to give his side a 7-3 lead followed by a conversion from Jack Carty. Carty added a penalty after that to make it 13-10 before Quinn Roux surged through to get the second try.

The movement leading up to Roux's effort involved some fluid offloading before Roux collected the ball to pounce for the try.

Connacht built a healthy 18-10 lead at the break which they refused to relinquish after the restart. A Cian Kelleher try put them 13 points in front when he made a stride for the line after timing his run perfectly to collect a pass near the sideline while building momentum.

Peter Robb then secured the insurance try inside the final 10 minutes to leave the final scoreline reading 28-15 and more importantly, claim a much needed bonus point win for Connacht in the Guinness PRO12.
