Two orders for repossession made have been made at a sitting of Limerick Circuit Court.
Banks and other lending institutions bought over 200 applications for possession of family homes today.
But the majority of cases were adjourned to later dates.
The judge gave more time for families to seek alternative accommodation, or work out a repayment deal with their lender.

In all, 219 applications to repossess homes in Limerick city and county were listed for hearing today. The applications were being taken by all the major banking institutions and others.
Of the well known lenders, TSB had the bulk of cases, pursuing 57 individuals or families. AIB is taking 37 cases, Ulster Bank 27, Bank of Ireland 14 and KBC 12.
In the past years 1,000 possession orders have been approved by the courts.
Latest figures show 37,500 mortgages are currently more than two years in arrears.
