The North's Deputy First Minister says the five parties in the Stormont Executive believe the time has come for the British Parliament to give greater fiscal powers to the Northern Ireland administration.
Martin McGuinness has said his biggest regret is that Ian Paisley wasn't 30 years younger to work with him and build a prosperous future for Northern Ireland.
Speaking to Shane Coleman on the Sunday show Mr McGuinness said, "I think he would've stood against the nine to twelve hard-line unionists within the DUP who have been attempting to hold back progress over the course of the last two years."
Discussing the ramifications for Northern Ireland of Scotland’s vote against independence he said, "what I want to see is recognition by the British Government that there should be the fullest powers devolved through our administration including fiscal powers.
"We should have power over our corporation tax in terms of the ability to have it devolved and also to set our rate in conjunction with the rate in the south which would be hugely appealing to Foreign Direct Investment," he added.
