A man has died after being shot a number of times in west Dublin.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Wheatfield Avenue, Neilstown at 9.40pm yesterday evening where they found a man in his 30s who had been shot.

He was treated at the scene by the emergency services, but lost his fight for life.

The gangland-style attack is not believed to be connected to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.

The area's been sealed off and a forensic examination of the area is due to take place.
