A man charged as part of the investigation into a gangland murder in Dublin’s north inner city has been refused bail.
Thomas Fox of Rutland Court, Dublin 1 is charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm at Avondale House, North Cumberland Street.
He is alleged to have had a 9mm handgun on May 23rd - the day before Gareth Hutch was shot while getting into his car outside the complex.
Garda Chief Superintendent Pat Leahy objected to bail on a number of grounds and said the 29-year-old could yet face a more serious charge.
His application was refused this afternoon and he has been remanded in custody for a week.
Yesterday, Mary McDonnell (44), who lives at Avondale House, appeared in court charged with withholding information in relation to the shooting.
