Pair were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after N59 collision
An elderly man and woman are in a serious condition following a road crash in Galway.
The two-car collision happened on the N59 at Kylemore at around 6pm yesterday.
The occupants in one of the cars, both in their 70s, were airlifted to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries.
Those in the second car were taken to Castlebar Hospital with minor injuries and have since been discharged.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Clifden station on 095-22500.
