Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Dungarvan in Waterford which claimed the lives of three men.
Six people, who were in one car, were seriously injured and had to be airlifted to hospital.
The two-car collision happened on the N72 in Dungarvan on Sunday morning.
The second car went on fire following the impact and it took gardaí a number of hours to confirm the deaths.
The stretch of road where it happened was closed overnight.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Dungarvan garda station at 058-48600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any garda station.
Ralph Riegel, southern correspondent with the Irish Independent, told Newstalk Breakfast the men involved have yet to be identified.
