A “devastating fire” has destroyed a Georgian building on the grounds of the Clayton Silver Springs Hotel in County Cork.
No one was injured in the blaze which took several hours to bring under control.
The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning engulfing a 19th century building on the property.
Fortwilliam House, a Georgian building constructed in the 1820's, was a listed property and hotel said staff are “devastated” at its destruction today.
The building was used solely for storage purposes for the last number of years.
Operations will continue as normal for the hotel as it enters the bust Christmas period.
