Gardai are continuing to question a man in connection with the death of two pensioners in Co Donegal yesterday morning.

Gardaí were called to a house in Carndonagh, shortly after 9 o'clock where they discovered the bodies of Jimmy and Kathleen Cuddihy.

A full forensic examination is underway.

A 42 year old man is being held at Buncrana Garda Station

There was a hatchet discovered at the scene, and it is to be examined as part of the investigation.
