The former British solider who was arrested by detectives investigating Bloody Sunday has been released on bail.
The 66-year-old former member of the Parachute Regiment was arrested in Co Antrim on Tuesday. He is understood to have been questioned in connection with the deaths of three people – William Nash, Michael McDaid and John Young.
The arrest was part of a legacy inquiry into the killing of thirteen civilians during a civil rights march in Derry on January 30, 1972. A fourteenth man later died from his injuries.
It was the first arrest since the inquiry began in 2012. Police have said they intend to question seven former soldiers about their actions on Bloody Sunday.
