 A law reform Commission report has found that introducing a cap on damages awarded in personal injury claims would be permissible under Irish constitutional law. The review of damages was prompted by rising insurance premiums for businesses and motorists, which the industry claims is a result of excessive payouts being awarded during personal injury claims. 

Peter Boland Director of the Alliance for Insurance reform, Liam Griffin chairman of the EY alumni committee on insurance and Stuart Gilhooley Litigation Solicitor  joined Kieran to discuss Irelands on going insurance crisis and what reform is needed to combat claims culture.
