The Government is facing political pushback against a recommendation to refuse HSE reimbursement for a drug for people living with the rare genetic disease, Friedrichs Axatia.   

 All Fianna Fáil public representatives apart from ministers have written to the party leader and Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, the Tanaiste, the Minister for Health and the head of the HSE raising “serious concerns” and seeking a meeting on the issue.
