An Irish actress has said she had to flee the United States after being targeted by a stalker in Hollywood who planted a tracking device on her car. Aine O’Neill, who is originally from Dublin, is one of three plaintiffs who are taking a class action lawsuit against Apple over the sale of AirTags.

Intended to allow people to find objects like their keys or laptops, there have been dozens of cases in the US where the trackers have been misused in sinister stalking incidents.

Our Chief Reporter Barry Whyte has been looking at the details of the lawsuit, while Aine O’Neill has told him that she had to eventually leave America because Apple would not disable the AirTag that was being used by a stalker to track her movements…
