It’s been revealed under FOI to Newstalk Breakfast today that, to date, 43 licences have been issued in respect of just twenty individual patients under the provision of the ‘Misuse of Drugs Act’, with the first licence being issued in late 2016.

Activist Vera Twomey, mother of Ava who has benefited from medicinal cannabis for the last couple of years, spoke to Susan about why the low numbers being provided with the drug needs to be addressed.
