The latest study into Ireland's ageing population has found that church goers have better mental health than those who don't attend services.

They also benefit from having a wider social network.

But is it having belief in something or just somewhere to go and meet people that has the most impact?

Theologian Gina Menzies says this is not at all surprising, and in fact highlights some very intrinsic needs of humankind.
